For people who are committed to living an Abundant Life, The Exceptional Life. For people who want to Be Better, Do Better, and Make Life Better for all those in their circle of influence

Purpose

There is a profound separation among two groups in the field of Human Potential. Those seeking SUCCESS, and those seeking SIGNIFICANCE.

The larger group seeking SUCCESS is more physically motivated. They want more power, more wealth, more control, more respect, more safety, more recognition, and more achievements. All of us spend time among this group. It is a necessary stage in our evolution.

The smaller, and decidedly more contented group, seeks SIGNIFICANCE. They know that it takes goodness to achieve true greatness. They want more meaning, less wasted effort, more payoff for the energy they expend, more time with people they admire and love, more pride of workmanship, and to make more of a difference in the world. They want to live an Abundant Life and they want their life to Matter. 

The purpose of the The Exceptional Life ATX Mastermind is to will LEVERAGE the collective influence, wisdom, and reach of our mastermind members.  With the purpose being to create an ABUNDANT LIFE, “THE EXCEPTIONAL LIFE”, for those in our circle of influence and whom we love and care about.

The Exceptional Life ATX Mastermind Participants…

The Exceptional Life ATX Mastermind is private and by invitation-only. Participants are from a variety of fields, engaged in fascinating and far-reaching discussions that inspire new solutions, personal insights, and meaningful actions for living THE EXCEPTIONAL & ABUNDANT LIFE. Our members are accomplished, have no ego, and an intense desire to help others. Some are still achieving their life milestones while others are reflecting on how to leave a lasting legacy.

Over four days you will learn how to live THE EXCEPTIONAL LIFE.

Also you’ll “experience” the Exceptional Life” over these four days as well.

Learning how to impact wealth, health, marriage, and spirituality. Our masterminds are to gain insights, share proven concepts and practices that can be used here and now, in business and personally.

At the end of the weekend, you will leave playing the “GAME OF LIFE” at a higher level. Then when you get home, you will share the wisdom you have gained with your spear of influence. Impacting their lives as well.

Hosts…

John Mitchell and Jim Cathcart are the hosts for the Exceptional Life ATX Mastermind.

John teaches the “science of success” at one the top by business schools in the country. More specifically, he teaches how to LEVERAGE yourself through science. Using a 12 minute day technique that caused his income to go up by 25 times over what it was the prior 20 years.

Jim is in the speaker’s “Hall of Fame”, a master at “Leadership of Self”, and a legend in the success and human achievement field. Jim has written 21 books on success and achievement and is one of the most influential people in the field of success today.

These weekend masterminds are conducted on the water at John’s house on Lake Austin once a quarter. At these events, we pamper our guests. It’s a smorgasbord of ideas and decadent food. With Ginger’s (John’s wife) famous cuisine served on the water with a special treat for dessert.

Agenda

Day one (6:30 PM) – Arrivals  – Connections – Your Forum’s Focus
              Reception/light dinner. We gather at John’s house on Lake Austin. We get to know each other over cocktails on the deck over the water. Towards the end of the evening, you will be given a short “homework” assignment to complete before bed. We want you to define why this event matters to you and where you expect to see the greatest benefit from being part of it. Your homework assignment will involve doing the personal priority wheel exercise– a powerful eye-opening exercise.



Day two (9 AM)  – Raising Your Self-Intelligence                    

Morning session – conducted by Jim Cathcart.

Self-Mastery begins with improved Self-Awareness, but awareness alone is just a starting point. Jim guides you to know things about yourself that most people don’t realize. His books The Acorn Principle, The Power Minute and Intelligent Curiosity explore his research in depth. You will receive a copy of each book.

The insights gained here will expose the Better Choices available to you in each key life area. Much of your life is, no doubt, working quite well, yet there is a lot more living available to you.

What you discover in this session will frame what you learn from the rest of the Forum experience.

Our goal is to make every idea you gain into an asset for you to enhance each part of your world. You will know yourself as never before after this morning session.


Lunch breakA chance to breathe.

Includes a boat ride down to Pennybacker Bridge and commentary about those who live on Lake Austin. See the houses of such people as Matthew McConaughey, Sandra Bullock, Joe Rogan, and billionaire John Paul DiGiorgio. 


Afternoon session – Leveraging Yourself Through Science

Conducted by John Mitchell.
Part One: How to be a successful entrepreneur.

John has created a 12-minutes-a-day technique that is considered the “Top Application in the World” of the top book the world on SUCCESS – Think and Grow Rich. You’ll learn the “SECRET” to success that is alluded to in the book. John teaches the Science of Success at the University of Texas. When he applied this 12-minutes-a-day technique to his own life, it caused his income to go up by 25 TIMES over what it was the prior 20 years. And it gave him CONTROL over his life on a level he had never experienced before.

It works because it focuses you only on what moves the needle. This triples your discipline and causes new ideas to come into your head consistently every week. Practical business ideas that aren’t coming in today begin to flow because of three different aspects of the leveraging process. It also impacts your health and marriage.

Application to your own life: you will isolate the areas you want to affect most, and we will each discuss where to put the focus next for ourselves. “Hot Seats” are available for anyone who wishes to get the group’s input at this point.

We will adjourn by 5pm to allow you time to refresh before our epic dinner event.

Dinner Experience – (6:30pm) You’ll experience Texas barbecue at its finest. The legendary Franklin’s Barbecue. Rated the top barbecue in the country by Condé Nast. Served on the lake at John’s house. Reflect on the “ah ha” moments from today and share stories with your fellow participants.

We will adjourn by 9:00pm so that you can get a good rest before day three.

Day three (9:30 AM)
– Attracting the Outcomes You Desire

              Optional early morning activity – One of the most beautiful hiking trails in Austin is within one block’s walking distance from John’s house. It is long enough for the very fit to be challenged and optionally short enough for the casual hiker to enjoy to the extent they prefer. Allow time to freshen up before arriving at the morning session.

Morning session – conducted by Jim Cathcart.

Jim’s concept of “becoming an Eligible Receiver” for what you seek. Taking the Priority Wheel categories one at a time, you will define the ideal level for you and identify the milestones between you and there. This session is about Being. What kind of person do you need to be in each context in order to attract what you want?

The Magnetism of Gratitude – Jim explores grateful living on and off the job, and how to cultivate this same mindset and heart in others. This is about Leadership, not just being nice.

The Power Minute™ is the opportunity gap between thinking about and acting on an impulse. It’s the intelligent intervention between stimulus and response. How to Attract Trust is the concept behind Jim’s famous “Relationship Selling™ strategy and his many books and learning systems.

With this information overload you will need time to reflect and there’s not a better place for that than on a mountainside overlooking a body of water.

Lunch – at The Oasis overlooking beautiful Lake Travis.

This restaurant, bar, event center made famous in Garth Brook’s song “Friends in Low Places” is very nearby Lake Austin. We will gather for a lunch adventure where you definitely want to take photographs. Casual, Mexican-themed and playful.


Afternoon session – conducted by John Mitchell.

We begin with an overview of the vital categories that comprise The Exceptional Life. These include Relationships/Marriage, Health/Vitality, Wealth, and Spiritual Well-being. John will guide you through an exploration of strategies to optimize each one.



How to have a great relationship/marriage – by John Mitchell and Ginger Mitchell

You’ll learn John’s technique of having a weekly “relationship talk” every Sunday. And why that’s so powerful in maintaining and creating a great relationship. You’ll also learn the concept of love languages. Knowing what yours is as well as your partners so you both can receive love in the way you want. You’ll also learn the concept of validation, mirroring and empathy. An immensely valuable technique when there are disagreements. And lastly, you’ll also learn the female point of view on relationships from John’s wife Ginger. That will be entertaining! 

Health – the foundation for the exceptional life – by John Mitchell and Jim Cathcart

During this session you will learn the foundational principles for being healthy. You’ll also learn how to use the 12-minutes-a-day technique John taught you the prior day to give you more discipline regarding what you eat and exercise. Jim will share his own self-motivation technique that converted him from a 50lb overweight loser into a lifetime of fitness. This technique has been adopted by Olympic champions and world-class athletes. “A man who has his health has many dreams. The man who doesn’t have his health, has only one dream.”

Wealth building and Wise investing – by John Mitchell

We are not financial advisors, but we’ve had some great results. In this session, John discusses the lessons he’s learned once he acquired wealth. How to invest it safely in order to provide a consistent return. So that his his investments pay for his ongoing living expenses. How to use wealth to do good in the world using a private foundation. And lastly, how to have financial control of both your business and your personal expenses each month using a simple tool like QuickBooks®.

Spirituality and Inspired Living – by John Mitchell and Jim Cathcart.

All of your actions grow out of things you believe to be true. Everybody believes in something and there’s clearly a higher force than we can see. During this session, John and Jim talk about how they each look at spirituality and how that impacts their mindset on a daily basis. Life is a reflection of your state of mind. And to live the exceptional life, you have to control your state of mind. Note: we do not champion a particular religion. This is about freeing and nurturing your spirit.

Again, we will adjourn by 5pm to give you time to refresh for our Storytelling Dinner.

Storytelling Dinner (6:30pm) – at John’s home on Lake Austin

This fun event will include cocktails and dinner to nurture your body and stories to touch your mind and soul. Jim Cathcart will start us off and describe professional storytelling techniques, then we can each contribute whatever stories this experience has uncovered. A bit of special entertainment will also be included. We will “officially” adjourn by 9:30pm, but…..who knows.


Day four (9:30am) – Prescription for your Breakthroughs – by Everyone


              Optional sunrise early morning activity – super casual and physical, mountain top Sunrise Experience. Time to reflect and be quiet and enjoy the peace and beauty of the river, the valley and Austin. (Mount Bonnell) Strongly recommended!


            9:30am – gather at John’s home again.

Application time, we will relate what you gained from this event to the goals and desires you identified at the beginning, or those that emerged during the forum. A session of Here Is What I Will Do from each of us. We will report: New, Next, and Needed: Here’s What New Insight I gained here, here’s What I will Do Next, and here’s What I Still Need in order to do it well. 

This session is where you get detailed input from everyone if desired. We want to assure that you gain immense value from this experience. We want you to live The Exceptional Life!

Adjournment will be at Noon.
